Are you looking for a few great fishing spots in the Sutherland Shire area?  Prince Edward Park and Captain Cook Bridge are all readily accessible in the Sutherland Shire area and can provide some great fishing and a great day out.

Prince Edward Park
Prince Edward Park is a great family friendly park.  Prince Edward Park gives you access to fishing the Woronora River.  There are BBQ's, picnic facilities, shelter sheds, playground and toilets.  Amongst other fish, you can mainly expect to find Bream and Tailor.  You'll want a fairly lightweight outfit as you aren't targeting really big fish.  If you are using bait then fresh prawns will be your best shot, otherwise a soft plastic will give you the best results on lure.

Captain Cook Bridge
Captain Cook Bridge is well known as a Jewfish hot spot.  Bream are also very common in the area so be sure to take your bream outfit, fresh prawns and a selection of soft plastics.  If it is the Jewfish that you're after then you'll need a lot of patience, approximately 300m of 15kilo line with a 10/0 hook, and freshly cut large pieces of Squid.  Pilchards will work fine but they just don't last long enough.
